TRAINING

Power. Speed. Strength. Stability

Functional training aimed to enhance overall performance while also preventing injury.

YOUTH TRAINING PROGRAM IN
WESTPORT, MASSACHUSETTS

Our youth training program is limited to 6-8 participants in order to prioritize proper lifting technique for everyone.  Our priority is to teach kids how to build strength safely & effectively so that they build confidence while enjoying the process  - that’s the PS(3) difference.

Here’s what you can expect…

  • Power: the ability to be explosive.

  • Speed: the ability to move as fast as possible (in different directions).

  • Strength: the ability to exert force.

  • Stability: the ability to maintain center and balance.

A well-rounded athlete (and non-athlete) needs all of these and one without the other can and will lead to injuries.

Youth strength training program focused on building power, speed, strength and stability.

Weeks 1 & 2: Stability & Strength

We will be utilizing bands,  kettlebells, and the TRX to help build stability and overall strength. We will be watching for any muscle imbalances and addressing those directly with each kid. We will focus on building stability around the joints (shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, etc.) and overall strength.

Weeks 3 & 4: Strength & Speed

We will continue to build strength while incorporating speed training (ladder drills, cone drills, sprinting drills, etc.)

Weeks 5 & 6: Speed & Power

Here's the super fun stuff! Slamming balls and battle ropes, box jumps, throwing things, etc.

They will learn how to use their strength and stability to be able to exert MORE speed & power!
